Sweets

All the lovely colours.
Rich shapes and sizes.
Sweet ones and the sour.

Wrappers wrap around.
Some opaque to the gaze.
Others covering all.

Shapes under the covers.
Round and stodgy, full of fat.
Thin and delicately light.

Then tasty tender surfaces.
Some so softly sweet to eat.
Others like my teeth to bite.

Then when you get inside.
That melty, svelte sensation.
Ah, to thrust my tongue within.

Lovingly lingering over sweets.
Unwrapping them so gently.
Then devouring them … yum!
