Father – Let’s go and hit M&S. There’s a hundred nicker in the kitty for each of you boys.
Boy One – I need some socks too, Dad.
(Woke up having just overheard this in a dream. For my US readers – even in my dreams I’m making puns. A ‘nicker’ is a pound here in the UK. The father is saying to his sons that they each have one hundred pounds to spend. One of the sons is, apparently, a bit stupid and thinks his dad is referring to knickers (underpants) and so mentions that he needs socks too. Nothing is as funny when you need to explain it.)
