I didn’t say I don’t write such things; I just don’t dare to share them. I went back to read the tags and saw the extra layer of meaning. Very moving …
Moving? In what way. Okay, let me tell you why I asked that: I didn’t write it. I let it write itself without putting it through my conscious, logical filters. Even the tags. Even the phrase within the poem (the first words of each line) – it all came from … else.
It pulls at the heartstrings, the way a sad love story in a movie does. You let it write itself, and then posted it without editing it first? Wow. Just … wow.
I don’t feel that sadness. I don’t know why. Do you think I might be immune to it because … I have no words. I wonder why I’m not feeling it. Your comments are as if they are in a language from another planet. Strange.
Okay, this is a thing in Seinfeld, yes? There’s this kind of sponge and it’s in short supply and only if you’re really, really good do you get one (or get one used on your behalf).
Yeah, no – not that kind of sponge.
Yep. I really like Elaine’s hairstyle during that season. (What does that have to with sponges? Absolutamente nada.) Yeah, I know you didn’t mean that kind of sponge. I ain’t (that) silly. 😁
Just using the same word you mentioned yesterday on my post ‘Down The Pub with The Queen’. It’s quite a light term here, with comic undertones and implications. And yes – lovely hair.
Some people are touched by parts of certain movies and others are touched by other parts of other movies. Okay, that was not written eloquently, but you get the point. Heck, I was bawling my eyes out at Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Life of Pi!
You perhaps get more emotionally involved in stuff than me. I didn’t feel particularly moved by GotG (or LoP when I think about it). 🙂
If your mind isn’t clouded by unnecessary things, this is the best season of your life.
I am confuddled by your last sentence (if your mind isn’t clouded …) Too early in the morning for my brain? 😉
I tend to get more emotionally involved in fiction than reality. I touched on this here: https://detoutetderien2015.wordpress.com/2017/02/06/latent/
Yeah, especially considering that I got here before 8 am. Giving the eBay project some serious thought. 😉 (I could also start writing a book about my life …)
This is very good, the poem points to that hope lost but don’t the side is the melancholy acceptance of being lost but love remains. And where there is love, there is hope.
So bittersweet.
You have lovely handwriting, Robert.

My handwriting is actually awful. This is why I write like this instead. 🙂

You’re referring to your cursive writing? I prefer ‘printing’ too. For a girl, my writing (printing) isn’t particularly nice.

Yes – my cursive is crap, so my printing is purposefully present. 😉

The sponge, you say? That depends on whether you’re deemed ‘spongeworthy’: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8FjmbRParcc

Yeah, you’re right – her hair is very shaggable (or should that be shaggy?)

Ahem … thought Robert wanted to keep it clean? (Personally, I … *stops before saying something unclean*) Her hair does look lovely. 😊

The last sentence – it’s a quote from Wu Men (Hui-k’ai). Just seemed apt.
Followed the link. Thanks. 🙂
