external detail journal (part four of four)

Nah, I can see you there thinking to yourself ‘what’s he going to say about a bunch of rocks?’ Well, I just got five idea while I was writing that last sentence, but I’m going to challenge myself here. I’m determined not to say anything about them that just jumps into my mind unbidden. I’m going to be deliberate about this. I’m going to be the one to choose what to say. I’m not going to listen to the vagaries of my subconscious. I’m going to ignore the unconscious (universal and personal alike). I’m even going to ignore the genius that’s hanging from the ceiling tiles above my head and whispering ideas into my third ear. Here’s what’s going to happen: I’m going to leave it to chance. The way I’m going to do that is I’m going to construct a spreadsheet that generates 10 numbers between 1 and 26 (inclusive) and I’m going to convert those numbers to letters using the esoteric formula 1=a, 2=b, 3=c etc. etc. and then I’ll pair those letters up in the order they come along so that I have five two letter combinations and then I’m going to fire up a web browser (probably Google) and type each of those pairs of letters into the search box and then make a note of each word; no, wait; each second word that’s suggested. Those are the five words that I’m going to use to write this piece about rocks.

So, bear with for a moment or two (it’s now 19:21hr) …

Okay, it’s now 19:26hr and the words are uzi, black friday , pw (the country code top-level domain for Palau (who knew!)) , ITV hub and CTD Tiles (your one stop shop for tiles with 100+ showrooms nationwide).

So here we go with … oh no, we’re totally out of time!!!
