Bench Views #13 – Duchess’ Drive

Ettrick Valley.

Here I was – in Scotland. Weather – fine but windy. Forests – fine but full of the rustlings of wee beasties. Hills – fine but gale forced. Views – awesome!

This photo cannot do this scene justice. We could see for miles and miles over the trees into the next valley and the next hill and into England (which is down there somewhere) and on through the sky and away to the other end of the universe!

Behind the bench is a hillside full of earth containing bugs and snakes and worms and little burrowing creatures with heartbeats and eyes like shiny beads.

It’s all still there, but we are not. Hello England!
