Thoughts are ephemeral things. They live for a term and then they pass on it away. They come, they go. One thought arrives and replaces another. They do not last. None of them.
But while thoughts exist, they can have surprising and, sometimes, wonderful consequences.
So see them out. Watch your thoughts as they arrive, stick around for a while, have a party, then go on their merry way.
Cause if you don’t wait for them to do what they do, then you’ll never know what that party will be like, who you will meet there and, most importantly, what will happen next.
is a welcome to thoughts

Some would disagree. They would say that you should leave your front door open and your back door open and don’t invite your thoughts to sit down and have coffee as they pass through. š

Oh, for sure. It depends, I suppose, whether you can make them your friends. š

Just don’t let the bad ones stick around. The ones that beat you up and leave you cold and bruised with dishevelled hair.
