Well, Freud was pretty obsessed with sex, but apart from that I’m not sure. There have been a lot of studies into the subject and books written about it but, as far as I’m aware, no-one has ever asked a penis for its opinion on the subject. I mean, sure, there are the Vagina Monologues, but I’ve never looked to see if there are Penis Monologues. Don’t try Googling it, you never know what strange things await, lurking in the shadows! 🤓
Rest assured. I’m not gonna be Googling that anytime soon. I was studying about psychoanalysis the other day and there was no mention of…this particular subject. 🙂
I guess that’ll come up (no pun intended) when you get around to libido. Freud defined the term libido psychoanalytically in his Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality: “We have defined the concept of libido as a quantitatively variable force which could serve as a measure of processes and transformations occurring in the field of sexual excitation” (Freud 1905).

I really hope that’s not something psychologists do😐

Interesting.
You know a lot about psychology. Is it because you read or did you study it sometime in your life?
