Bench Views #24 – Lost in The World

I love being pleasantly present in indeterminate countryside with a good book and a chocolate bar.

Looking up from the tome with a mouthful of fabulous flavour to see pheasants chasing each other from one patch of bush to another evokes in me the feeling that I could be anywhere in the world and, indeed, for a moment I forget which part I find myself in.

On a bench now on the other side of the lost-in-space hedge, which you can see front and forward in the photo, I am facing a path filled intermittently with people wandering hither and there on legs and bicycles.

They look English, a fact you can determine from the way they’ve gone pink from falling into an unexpected ray of sunshine. So this must sutely be England! Mystery solved. Possibly. 🐸
