Turn the light down low and lie with me
Not that we’ll tell them the sky is green
Not like that.
Kiss my sweet lips and then touch my heart
No, not through a bloody hole in my chest
Not like that.
Strip me down ’til I’m bared to your gaze
No, my dear, take my clothes not my skin
Not like that.
Take me slowly and then drive me faster
No, not to the shops to rummage the racks
Not like that.
Make me scream as you come like a train
No, no – please stop that insane whistling
Not like that.
Stay with me and tell me all your secrets
Tell me about the beauty you hide within
Say the words that you’ve never spoken
Take me to the wild places in your heart
Yes, like that.
Yes, always.
So lovely, quirky and funny.

I am, I am – but what did you think of what I posted? 🙂

You, lovely? Hmm … 😉
Your poem is sweet, funny, and romantic, without being sappy (sap should be saved for syrup).

Thank you. 🙂
One of these days I’m going to learn how to do poems properly. Then you’ll see.
(yeah, you’ll probably show ’em how to ruin a perfectly good raw talent by overlearning!)

Humility looks rather good on you. (Don’t let that get to your head, now.)

Yes, you are. (Am I saying that just for the sake of contradicting you? You’ll never know. ;-))

I was very proud of that piece. Considering I was totally fagged out (UK term for very tired – nothing to do with gay sex) I think it came out rather well. 🙂
